We have a dream. We have a dream that each and every one of us would discover who we are in Christ. Psalm 139 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that God himself knit us together in our mothers' womb, that all the days ordained for us were written in His book before even one of them came to be (paraphrase).

We believe that. We believe that as each one of us was conceived so God loved us and saw who we could be in Him. He loved us so much that He sent His precious son, Jesus, to die for us, to make a way for us to have that relationship with Him that He always intended mankind to have before the Fall.

Unfortunately for many of us the shapings of life, originally intended to provide a secure and solid framework in which we could safely grow and come to know God, cause pain and hurt that deeply affect the psyche. Many are misshapen, battered and bruised, usually unintentionally by parents and significant others in our lives, some have been deliberately abused physically, sexually, emotionally and spiritually. We are a long way from that 'conception child' God saw and loved in the womb.

Thank God He STILL loves us - that His heart is all for us and that He longs to fix up the mess that has been forced on us or that we've got ourselves into. Do you know what Jesus' first stated intent was - His pronouncement of why He had come to Earth? You can find it in Isaiah 61 and Luke 4

The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." (Luke 4:18-19)

He wants to put things right, right now - even today, that each and every one of us might be 'free to be me', the one He intended us to be.

That is the heart of Shepherd's Heart. We are a ministry dedicated to helping people get past long standing issues in their lives and to train others to minister in the same way.

We are full on Christian! We believe that Christ is fully God and fully man, was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, dead and buried, that He rose again from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. We believe that He will indwell and clothe us with the power of the Holy Spirit and that His Word is living and active today.

We meet 9:30am Sundays at Canberra Southern Cross Club, Catchpole Street, Maquarie.
